Before We Start
- Ownership. We need the owner’s go ahead. If a lender holds a lien, or someone else owns the home on your land, that gets settled first. The Texas Statement of Ownership is the record.
- Utilities. Have your electric and gas provider shut off service at the meter. Tell us where water lines, a septic tank, or a well sit so equipment stays off them.
- Permit. We pull the demolition permit where your city or county requires one.
- Asbestos. Homes from before the 1980s can contain asbestos in flooring and roofing materials, and some cities ask for a survey with the permit application. We will tell you if yours does.
- Belongings. Take what you want to keep. We can clear what is left, and it affects the quote.

Mobile Home Removal FAQ
How much does it cost to remove a mobile home?
We quote every home individually, because the price moves too much to publish a range. What changes it: single wide or double wide, how close equipment can get, decks and add-ons attached to the home, what is left inside, concrete pads, and any asbestos. Call (940) 531-8150 with the size and address and we will price it.
Do I need the title to have a mobile home demolished?
You need to be the owner, and the proof is the Texas Statement of Ownership, which records ownership and liens. If you cannot find yours, you can look the home up on the TDHCA website by its HUD label or serial number, and a bill of sale or deed records can support a new one. Any lien needs to be settled before the home comes down.
Someone left a mobile home on my land. Can I tear it down?
Not until you have the legal right to it. If the home belongs to someone else, Texas has an abandonment process through TDHCA. It starts with a written notice to the owner and any lienholders, using TDHCA’s abandoned home notice, and includes a 45 day window for them to remove the home. Confirm the current steps with TDHCA, then call us to schedule the demolition.
Can you remove a burned, storm damaged, or condemned mobile home?
Yes. If a city or county sent you a removal notice, give us the deadline when you call so we can schedule around it. If it is an insurance claim, leave the home alone until your adjuster has documented it, then call us.
How long does it take to tear down a mobile home?
A single wide is often down and hauled off in one day. Double wides, attached additions, and heavy debris loads take longer. The wait is often the permit and the utility shutoff, not the teardown, so call early.
Can you move my mobile home instead of tearing it down?
No, we demolish homes and haul away the debris. We do not move them whole. If the home is in good shape and you want to sell or relocate it, you need a mobile home mover, a moving permit from the Texas DMV, and any lienholder’s written consent.
